I never thought I'd be posting in this section but here we are. My 488 has been absolutely flawless since I picked it up two years ago, but recently I've noticed a slight knocking from the rear when going over the expansion joints on Al Ain Road and honestly it's been messing with my head every time I take it out. I had it up on my QuickJack yesterday to take a look and there's some slight weeping around the bottom of the left rear damper, nothing catastrophic yet but I know it's only going to get worse. I called the dealer just out of curiosity and nearly fell off my chair when they told me the cost to replace both rears. A buddy in the local car group sent me a link to www.suspensionrepairdubai.ae/ferrari-suspension-repair/ and said these guys actually rebuild the factory units rather than just swapping them out for new ones, which sounds like a much smarter way to go if the quality is there. I'm just wondering if anyone here has gone that route with the magnetorheological dampers and whether the ride and handling feel exactly the same afterward because I'm really particular about how the car drives. Any input would be appreciated before I pull the trigger.
