I've been one of those people who always said a car is meant to be driven and worrying about paint and interior perfection is just asking for stress, especially with a big SUV that hauls camping gear and sandy kids around half the time. But after a recent road trip to Liwa where the dust got into absolutely everything, I came back and just couldn't ignore how neglected the interior had gotten. The carpets were stained, the leather felt gritty no matter how much I wiped it down, and the outside had that faded look no amount of basic washing could fix. A buddy who takes his FJ to this one spot kept telling me to just bite the bullet so I finally did, and honestly I was not prepared for how much better the whole experience would be. The weird thing is I thought I'd just be happy to have a clean car again, but now I'm actually finding excuses to drive it more because it just feels nicer inside.
