I'm in a bit of a spot here. Parked my Golf in the DIFC this morning for a meeting, and when I came back, the car was completely dead – no lights, no central locking, absolutely nothing. Got a jump start from a colleague, but now the dash is lit up with warnings and the start-stop system is throwing errors, which I know is a sign the battery management system is confused. I've been reading up on this, and for VW Group cars, just swapping the battery isn't enough; the car's computer needs to be told a new battery is installed, otherwise it keeps using the old charging profile and overcharges the new one, which kills it quickly. I'm looking for a mobile service that can come to me and do a proper job with the replacement and coding. I need professional Volkswagen battery installation in DIFC that uses genuine parts and can handle the battery registration properly. Has anyone used a service like this around DIFC and can tell me if they're reliable and quick? I really need to get this sorted today before I end up stranded again.
