Also if the tires are over or under inflated will show up as well.  And in the case of formula 1 racing cars, what the ware of the tires is as compared to the competition.

It is all about friction on the surface of the tire verses the road.  Try looking at your own car after you have been driving it.  Compare what it looks like after you have been driving around in circles in one direction as compared to the other, for example and see what you see.

You can also look at the temp. of the breaks and see if they are over heating as well.
